MEDFORD, OR / ACCESSWIRE / May 3, 2021 / Executives at hemp company Plain Jane revealed Todd Boren and of the MacArthur Fund has joined their team. According to the Oregon-based company, Boren will become CEO alongside Plain Jane's current co-CEO Lindsey Holthaus.
Previously, Boren led Form Factory as its co-CEO. In 2018, Boren successfully headed the Acreage Holdings acquisition of Form Factory for a purchase price of $160 Million. This marked it as one of the largest exits in the US cannabis industry.
In addition to Form Factory, Boren's fund sold drug delivery company Chemistry Holdings to Cure Pharmaceuticals for $115 million. MacArthur Fund is also a significant stakeholder in the cannabis extraction company Vanguard Scientific.
Before Todd Boren became involved in the cannabis sector, he served in various positions, managing securities and venture capital acquisitions. Over his 25-plus-year career, Boren helped create two FINRA broker dealers: International Assets Advisory and Pinnacle Financial Group.
When asked for comment on joining Plain Jane, Boren told reporters, 'I am very excited about my role with Plain Jane. Coming in as Co-CEO reminds me of the launch of Form Factory prior. Along side Todd and Lindsey, Peter Glik has also joined the PJ team as Chief Strategy Officer. Peter was director of Business Development and strategy at Form Factory. Peter has also been apart of MaCarthur Capital for 4 years as an advisor. Today's announcement follows a number of recent developments for the company, including new partnerships to expand global distribution and revolutionary new product expansion for adjacent high-growth market segments.
