LOS GATOS, CA / ACCESSWIRE / May 3, 2021 / The ‘Dr. Bomi Joseph Healthcare Scholarship Fund' is proud to announce Kiersten Cheung of UC Irvine School of Medicine in Irvine, California, as the winner of the ‘Dr. Bomi Joseph Winter 2021 Healthcare Scholarship'.
Kiersten is pursuing her career as an Integrative Medicine physician to patients. She recognizes that natural remedies can be a powerful alternative to pharmaceutical drugs in treating degenerative diseases. As a first-generation Asian-American, Kiersten actively helps bridge the cultural divide between elderly Asian immigrants and their integration into American society. She has volunteered as an interpreter at the Paul Hom Asian Clinic. Kiersten is a deserving candidate for this award because she continues Dr. Joseph's mission of making pharmacognosy a mainstay of Integrative Medicine.
Peak Health Center is now accepting applications for the ‘Dr. Bomi Joseph Spring 2021 Healthcare Scholarship'. Every new Quarter is having a significantly larger number of applicants. The number of deserving candidates are also increasing. Therefore, the Trustees of the 'Dr. Bomi Joseph Healthcare Scholarship Fund' have decided to increase the number of winners to two per quarter. The two worthy, healthcare candidates can directly collect their awards, or direct Peak Health to pay their educational institution.
Candidates must submit an essay of 500 words or less, explaining why they chose their field of study and what they think they can contribute to their profession. A competitive piece should stand out from the rest by being exciting and inspiring to read! The two most compelling applications will be selected and the two winners will be notified if they meet the required qualifications.
A letter of acceptance or other proof of enrollment at a post-secondary educational institution must be submitted along with an essay to be considered.
Students have until the deadline of midnight on Monday, May 31, 2021, to submit their essays and verification documents
